Tour – Climbing Huayna Potosí

Program

Day 1 - Go to Huayna Potosí
This day begins with the concentration in our office at 08:30, to test the climbing equipment and then we go on private mobility to the Base Camp (4700m), 1 hour and 45 minutes away from the city of La Paz and around 11:00 am we will have lunch.

After lunch we start the walk along an easy path towards the refuge of Campo Alto (5200m) in a period of 2 to 3 hours (depending on the tourist pace), we have free time Is used for the acclimatization, while the dinner is prepared, we dined at 17:00 and around 18:00 we rest until midnight.

Day 2 - Start very early & return to La Paz city
The 2nd day starts very early, around midnight with breakfast, beginning the ascent to the summit of Huayna Potosí at 01:00.

From the Campo Alto we climb in glacier, the route has an average inclination of 35 ° to 40 ° and the ascent has an average duration of 4 to 7 hours. The tourist is subject to the guide by a rope, the first part is relatively easy up to 5500 m aprox.

Program

Day 1 - Go to Huayna Potosí
