TOUR RURRENABAQUE, PAMPAS
Rurrenabaque is situated on the banks of the Río Beni, approximately 250 miles (400 km) from La Paz. This small Amazonian town is popular for its proximity to the Bolivian Amazon and the pampas of Madidi National Park. The original people of the area, the Tacana, were one of the few lowland tribes that resisted Christianity and Western-style civilization.
The town (called Rurre for local people) remains small with just a few attractions, but is surrounded by lush hills and fully equipped to serve as a base for travelers heading out to the Amazon.
Rurrenaque has a relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind after returning from a jungle tour or wildlife – viewing excursion. Rurrenabaque is particularly appreciated among wildlife lovers: the town is located at the confluence of the Andes, the Amazon, and the wetlands, producing a unique mix of flora and fauna found nowhere else on earth.

RURRENABAQUE – PAMPAS
Dificult: ─ Duration: days night
- 1st Day: RURRENABAQUE –LODGE (YACUMA RIVER): Our daily tours start at 10:30 a.m. we will go by jeep (44 wheel drive) from Rurrenabaque to Santa Rosa, (3 hours driving), we shall have lunch there. Afterwards we shall go by canoe, (Yacuma river) for about 3 hours, where you might see; pink dolphins, alligators, monkeys, parrots different kind of birds, capybaras and so on, until we arrive to our camp.
As soon as we arrive to the camp, we shall have dinner and later, we shall go to the Yacuma River, to see the alligators at night. Once done, we shall go back to the camp to have some sleep. - 2nd Day PAMPAS: After breakfast, we shall go trekking in the Pampas in order to search anacondas, (You need boots or sport shoes because we might walk in water, it is very muddy inside of the water).
Then we shall go back to the camp to have lunch.
After that we shall have an easy walking, until arrive to a small river where we shall swim with the pink dolphins. Later on we shall go back to the camp for dinner. - 3rd Day PAMPAS – RURRENABAQUE: After breakfast we shall have an easy walking in the pampas, and then we shall have piranha fishing, if you like cooked them it, you would do it. As soon as we are ready, we shall go back to Rurrenabaque where we shall arrive around 5:00 p.m.
